Course Description:

This workshop is ideal for postdocs who want to take greater ownership of their research trajectory and build sustainable, funded research careers. Through a mix of guided discussion, practical exercises, and real-world examples, participants will explore how to align their funding efforts with their long-term research goals, identify appropriate funding sources, and craft compelling narratives for proposals. By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

- Map their research vision onto a coherent funding strategy.
- Identify suitable funding opportunities aligned with their career stage and goals.
- Understand key elements of competitive funding proposals.
- Plan ahead for long-term funding needs and cycles.
